Horse Industry Association of Alberta

Horse Industry Association of Alberta (HIAA) was informally established in 1982 to act as an organizing body for the Horse Breeders & Owners Conference. In 2005 they developed the intent of further establishing the association as an advocate and educator for the industry. After 25 years of organizing North America's premiere equine conference and working behind the scenes in various areas of the industry, the association had become less of a secret entity and more of a public organization. They needed a site that could be launched quickly for exhibiting at the 2006 Spruce Meadows Equi-Fair. They knew what they wanted, they had colours and images in mind; they wanted a site they could maintain through with their own internal systems but needed it done 'yesterday'! The developers at Pondside buckled down and worked with HIAA to get the job done as quickly and painlessly as possible!
Pioneer Housing Foundation

Pioneer Housing Foundation offers supportive living and housing for low and modest income seniors. They wanted a site that would help seniors and children of seniors to easily find out more about their services. A feature of this site is the ability for site visitors to change the text size, making it easy for them to read the information provided.
Alberta Equine ...On-Line

Alberta Equine ...On-Line, created in July 1995 and implemented in November 1995, was designed to be a destination "e-zine" dedicated to the horse industry in Alberta. Since its launch, Alberta Equine ...On-Line has grown beyond its borders to become the definitive source of horse information. It has a very active event schedule, news section, classified ads section, and product and service directory.
September 2002 saw the launch of the exciting new look and feel of the site! Many aspects of the site are now database-driven for easier maintenance and more timely delivery. Visitors can also post classified ads on-line and pay via credit card through the secure server.

Alberta Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Horse Industry Section)
Ropin' the Web is Alberta Agriculture's highly successful and interactive site. Pondside has assisted the Horse and Pork Sections to include Web-ready information.
Art Hook's Thai-Tanium Golf Tours

Art Hook was a 2003 fall referral from another satisfied customer (we thank Alberta Wilderness Guide Services!). With traditional marketing methods lagging and tour deadlines looming, Art came to us needing a Website 'yesterday'!
New to the Internet and computers in general, Art relied on Pondside to create the right look for his very specific golf tour. We created a site for Art to build on as his business requires.

EquineWise Services

An equine specialist and a psychologist have partnered to provide psychotherapy sessions with the assistance of equines! These partners wanted a site that would appeal to health and social welfare and corporate Human resource personnel. This exciting new approach will benefit a variety of clientele such as children with behaviour problems and corporate staff looking to think 'outside of the box'.
Equitop Farm

Equitop Farm is a visually rich Web site designed to promote the stallions standing at Equitop Farms and sales of horses through the Web site.
As the site was designed for growth, Pondside was easily able to add a photo gallery and news section at the request of the owners.
G.W. Equine Services

G.W. Equine Services is an example of the value that can be put into a low cost site. The emphasis on this project was creating an attractive site while keeping costs to a very reasonable level.
Lorraine Mack Liboiron

Western artist Lorraine Mack Liboiron wanted an easily navigated site that could accommodate the numerous art options she offers. This visually-appealing and user-friendly site incorporates the use of Portable Document Format (PDF) files for customers to easily print off fundraising information and order forms from the site.
Malcher's Mammoth Mules

Marlene and Jerry Malcher have a unique business of raising mules in rural Alberta. They were smitten with the idea that they could have a Web site to promote their love for and particular policies concerning the breeding and raising of mules.
Sylvia extracted elements of their logo from photos, then altered it and dressed it up to provide a fresh new look with visual appeal. She kept in mind the personalities of the owners and created content which conveyed their character.
They keep telling us that everyone who looks at the site remarks on how nice it looks and how easy it is to navigate!

Pondside was contracted to design Pegasus Equine Products, which promotes and sells horse products through the Internet. Products are updated periodically.
Prairie Brae Farm

Karl and Grace Krautt discovered Pondside through 'word of mouth'. They liked the mammothmules.com site and decided to contact the designer - us!
The Krautt's have a niche in the miniature market - namely performance donkeys! Their many wonderful photos and a willingness to allow us creative license with their design, has given them a unique site to promote their fine animals.
They have already forwarded the favourable comments from visitors to us. We're pleased to have another satisfied customer! :o)
